Meet the NUMATEC team

Daniel Gegúndez

Daniel Gegúndez

Industrial Engineer

Daniel Gegúndez has been an Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia since 1999. He began his career as head of electrical and mechanical design in airport facilities. Later, he focused fully on the construction sector, particularly in Retail.

For 15 years, he contributed to Media Markt’s expansion in Spain as construction project manager for new stores. He also worked on refurbishments, modifications, and site scouting to support the expansion department.

During this time, he opened the group’s first store in China (Shanghai), collaborated on international expansion, and launched new brands and concepts in Spain (including the first Saturn stores). After this phase, he worked in offices and storage facilities for private clients (Self Storage), eventually taking on a leadership role at Numatec, collaborating across all these stages.

Today, Numatec is being revitalized by a team of young professionals who combine the company’s experience with innovation in engineering and architecture.
